Join us for a visit with author Vanessa Miller, whose book, The American Queen, releases on January 30, 2024. A North Carolina author, Vanessa conducted research on The Kingdom of the Happy Land at the Henderson County Public Library.
The American Queen is a breathtaking novel set between 1865-1886. This captivating narrative unveils the inspiring story of Louella, a resilient black woman who becomes the only known queen of a kingdom built on American soil.
Vanessa Miller is a bestselling author, with several books appearing on Essence Magazine's Bestseller's List.
A limited number of books will be available for sale, courtesy of the Friends of the Library. (Cash or check payment only.)
