Basics of Canning Class In-Person
Etowah Library
Join Family and Consumer Sciences Agent, Abigail Pierce, to learn the basics of canning. When done safely, canning is a great way to preserve the abundance of the summer harvest for months to come. In this introductory class, participants will learn about proper techniques and equipment needed for canning at home. We will discuss the two different methods of canning: boiling water bath canning and pressure canning, along with the food safety risks and how to prevent them. If you have been interested in learning more about canning but aren't sure where to start, this class is for you!
