Conserving Carolina Speaker Series: Pollinators In-Person
Edneyville Library
Speaker: Steve Pettis, Henderson County Extension Agent for NC State University
June is Pollinator Month. Join Steve Pettis to learn about pollinating insects and how to attract them to your yard! Pollinating insects such as native bees, wasps, beetles, and flies are critical to native plant reproduction and to our food supply but these workhorses of the insect world are under threat from land use changes, pesticides, and habitat loss. The great news is that you can make a difference by dedicating a part of your landscape to the plants that feed and shelter pollinators. Steve will teach you how to make your yard and garden a pollinator paradise!
