Mountain Moss

Mountain Moss In-Person

Etowah Library

As the oldest living land plants, mosses (bryophytes) play a significant role in terms of environmental benefits to our planet. Not only do mosses provide year-round green appeal in garden landscapes, there are many reasons that mosses make good horticultural choices for healthy ecosystems. Annie Martin, aka Mossin' Annie, nationally recognized moss gardening expert and author of The Magical World of Moss Gardening, will provide insights for environmentally conscious gardeners. Discover how moss colonies serve as major carbon sequestration sites along with other interesting facts. A PowerPoint presentation will reinforce concepts. Live moss species will be on display.
