Conserving Carolina Speaker Series- The Salamanders of WNC with Emphasis on the Endangered Green Salamander In-Person
Green River Library
North Carolina has over 72 species of salamanders which is more than any other place on Earth! This presentation will discuss some of the species found in this area but will focus on the green salamander which is the only salamander in North Carolina that is listed by the state as endangered.
Alan Cameron has been a volunteer with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission for the last 18 years where he has studied numerous species in local forests but mostly green salamanders.
