Calling All Patriots! Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas Presentation In-Person
Emmett Casciato and Mike DiRocco from the Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas will present an evening of history and remembrance.
Come hear about "The Forgotten Warriors" (Montagnard tribes in Vietnam) from Mr. DiRocco. DiRocco was one of the first Green Berets to enter Vietnam with a mission to equip, train, and lead these tribesmen against the Viet Cong. Mike will share personal stories and photos from his time with these brave soldiers.
Emmett Casciato, museum founder and curator, will present "Honor, Educate, and Preserve," the vision of the Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas. Starting with a M1 carbine rifle from the Korean War, Mr. Casciato has amassed many donations from veterans and their families, including uniforms, artifacts, weapons, and personal letters. The museum archives the histories and memorabilia of the men and women who served our country from WWI through the ongoing War on Terror. The November exhibit highlights "Women in the Military."
Come and learn about a forgotten part of Vietnamese War history and how you can help honor the sacrifices of our Carolina heroes!
